Club Info

Hertford Running Cub meets three times a week. Tuesday 6pm and Thursday 7pm for circuits/sprints/hills generally distances ranging between 3-5 miles (5-8km), and Sunday 9am for our ‘long run’ which is normally split into two groups, with a shorter group heading out for 3-5 miles (5-8km) and a longer group for anywhere between 6-10miles (10-16km). Our only entry requirement is the ability to run 3 miles comfortably without stopping, so if this is still something you are working towards, get in touch and we can send over our recommended 5k plan. If there is enough interest in the future (and we have the resources to do so) we may re-introduce our beginners “Couch to 5k” style group.

All our sessions start and finish at Hertford House Hotel in Parliament square. We advise always checking our Instagram or Facebook Page – both with the username @HertfordRunningClub to find out what routes are taking place that week to ensure you are comfortable with the distance. In the unlikely event that there is a last minute change to the schedule, any updates will be communicated via our social media and in our members Whatsapp group.

Our Sunday sessions generally have a front runner pacing at 8-8:30 min/mile, and a back runner at 10 min/mile although if you would be more comfortable with a different distance, or have any other questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the ‘contact us’ page or on our socials.
